UNITED NATIONS: President Joe Biden said on Wednesday that Russia has “blatantly violated the core principles” of the United Nations charter with its “cruel, unnecessary war” in Ukraine.
Biden strongly condemned the Russian invasion to the international body, saying that reports of Russian abuses against civilians in Ukraine “should make your blood clot”.
He also said Russian President Vladimir Putin’s new nuclear threats against Europe showed a “reckless disregard” for his country’s responsibilities as a signatory to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons.
“We will stand in solidarity against the Russian aggression. Period,” Biden said.
