Man arrested after eggs were thrown at King Charles – Times of India

YORK, ENGLAND: A man was arrested on Wednesday after an egg was thrown King Charles and Camilla, his wife and queen consort, while they performed an engagement in northern England.
Four eggs can be seen on social media as four eggs flew past the British monarch and his wife and fell to the ground as they arrived for a traditional ceremony in York. They seemed unmoved by the incident and went ahead with the assignment.
Police officers rushed in to drag a protester shouting slogans. Others in the crowd chased him, chanting “God save the king”.
Charles, who came to the throne in September after the death of his mother Queen Elizabeth, is on a two-day tour of northern England.
Eggs were also thrown at Elizabeth’s royal car in 2022 when she visited Nottingham, central England, and anti-British protesters threw eggs at Charles during a walk in Dublin city center in 1995.
