NEW DELHI: The Pakistani government has extended the time frame for the transportation of 50,000 metric tons (MTs) of Indian wheat and life-saving medicines as humanitarian aid to Afghanistan through the Attari-Wagah border, Islamabad announced Sunday.
Pakistan had approved the shipment of 50,000 tons of Indian wheat and life-saving medicines as humanitarian aid from India to Afghanistan through the Wagah border in November 2021 “on an exceptional basis for humanitarian purposes”.
“…It has been decided to grant a two-month delay to facilitate the completion of the transport,” Pakistan said in its announcement.
