LONDON: Trains from London to WindsorWhere Queen Elizabeth will be buried later on Monday were severely disrupted by technical difficulties, putting pressure on public transport as tens of thousands travel through the capital to attend her funeral.
Great Western Railway (GWR) said all lines between Paddington and the main connecting point Reading were blocked, advising passengers to take an alternative route to Windsor, the town where the royal residence of Windsor Castle stands.
Later, the Queen’s coffin will be driven to Windsor, where she will be buried next to her late husband Prince Philip in a small chapel in a private ceremony after the funeral. Huge crowds are expected all over the city.
