The ever-popular beach destinations of Jamaica and Mexico’s Riviera Nayarit also make the list of 2022.
The city of Saltain the mountainous northwest of Argentina, and the village El Chaltenin the country’s Los Glaciares National Park, caught the attention of TIME this year.
Chilean Rapa Nuic — better known as Easter Island — en Ecuador’s Galápagos Islands are two volcanic wonders that made the list.
The bustling metropolises of bogotá colombia, and Sao Paulo, Brazilare two more urban recommendations from TIME.
The Czech mountain resort of Dolni Morava makes the list.
In Britain, the rural charms of the English county Devon and the city portraiton the Scottish Isle of Skye, give the thumbs up this year.
The Western European Cities of Marseille (France), Copenhagen (Denmark), Skelleftea (Sweden) and Valencia (Spain) all get a wink.

Australia’s Great Barrier Reef and the port city Fremantle both get a nod just like Queenstown in New Zealanda hub for adventure sports in the South Island.
Finally, Bhutan’s Trans-Bhutan Trail and the historic Silk Roads of Uzbekistan are some of the less traveled grounds in this year’s picks.
Qatar and its capital Doha have everyone’s attention this year, as it hosts the 2022 World Cup in December, while the emerging adventure haven destination of Ras Al Khaimahi in the United Arab Emirates also made the cut.
The Kenyan capital of Nairobi and the Rwandan capital of Kigalia are TIME’s urban choices from Africa. South Africa’s Franschhoekknown for its wineries, and Zambia’s Lower Zambezi National Park are also recommended.
Hwange National Park in Zimbabwe is the continent’s final selection.
