A stampede at a stadium in Basra, southern Iraq ahead of the Arabian Gulf Cup final, has left at least two people dead and dozens injured.
The Iraqi Interior Ministry told Al Jazeera that two people were killed and about 80 injured in the stampede on Thursday.
Host Iraq will play Oman in the final of the eight-nation Arabian Gulf Cup at 7pm (4pm GMT) on Thursday.
