Two more US states are banning TikTok on government devices due to security threats

New Jersey and Ohio said Monday that they, along with other states, are banning the use of the popular video app TikTok on government-owned and controlled devices.

New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy, a Democrat, said he is banning not only TikTok from state devices, but also software vendors, products and services from more than a dozen vendors, including Huawei, Hikvision, Tencent Holdings LTD, ZTE Corporation and Kaspersky Lab .
