Investigators are looking for evidence of alleged Russian war crimes in apartment buildings in the Ukrainian city of Kharkov.

War crimes include the use of weapons that cause arbitrary or terrible suffering, genocide and abuse of the rights of prisoners of war.

Since Russia began its invasion of Ukraine on February 24, nearly 15,000 war crimes have been charged across the country, and 200 to 300 more are reported daily, according to Ukraine’s chief prosecutor Iryna Venediktova.
