GENVA: The United Nations has expressed “deep concern” over escalating violence between Israel and the Palestinians, as clashes erupted Friday at the focal point of the Al-Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem.
“We are deeply concerned about the escalating violence in the occupied Palestinian territories and in Israel over the past month,” said Ravina Shamdasani, spokesman for the United Nations Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights.
